The enormous car park was quite full with the bright orange Unimog belonging to the tour leader, Ray and the various motor homes that would be our neighbours on the tour, most of them having already driven all the way from the UK. One of the ‘campervans’ was worth 25,000k and another 90,000k we later heard. We were definitely the smallest of the group and our van had cost us around 4,000k. We discovered later that two of the couples lived permanently in their motorhome.
Had a much need cold coke in the bar before joining the queue on the balcony for Debbie to relieve us of our euros and issue us with a factura.
Ray and his wife Debbie, live along the coast not far from Malaga as also does Steve who fixes minor motorhome problems along the way. Ray also has a small white dog named Sidney who travels everywhere with him and who will also be coming to Morocco with us.
5.30 saw us in the bar enjoying yet another cold coke before heading back to our van to await the 'get together' meeting at 7pm. Ray gave us lots of advice and I'm not sure we retained all of it and the meeting did seem a little overlong but then, the restaurant didn’t begin serving until 8pm and we weren't going anywhere.
We spent ages waiting for our food which although quite expensive for Spain, turned out to be very good.
Logged on before turning in at midnight.
